THE RECIPE FOR JACK DANIELS (INSPIRED) BROWNIES

THE RECIPE FOR JACK DANIELS (INSPIRED) BROWNIES It was not too long ago that I posted a recipe for Jack Daniels French Onion Soup. That recipe got me thinking about the time that we were driving through Tennessee and took a side trip to visit the Jack Daniel’s Distillery. It was a fun tour to take in a beautiful part of the country. I think that when I originally posted this recipe, I was also inspired by that trip to the distillery. I was also a bit surprised at how popular this recipe actually became. It could be because of the Jack Daniels being used as an ingredient and the great taste that it offers. To be honest, who doesn’t love a good brownie anyway? They tell me that the actual ‘booze’ in this will burn off. What should be left in the baked brownie is that Jack Daniel’s whiskey kind of taste to complement the chocolate. Still, I would probably not recommend this be baked for consumption for minors. I personally would not share them with many people as it is. We will still keep this recipe sugar free. By sugar free, I mean we will use sugar alternatives rather than sugar itself. You are welcome to use sugar instead if this is what you would prefer to use. I do have other brownie recipes that you may also be interested in. My Killer Sugar Free Chocolate Brownies were a popular read as were the Rum Brownies that we made. Be sure to follow me on facebook and subscribe to my recipes via email to keep up to date as well. Besides the Jack Daniels, you will also need other ingredients. You will need sugar free chocolate chips which you can find online. It is not always that I offer a cheat for something like brownies. However, a cheat for making this recipe would be to use a sugar free brownie baking mix which you can find here

The Recipe For Jack Daniels (Inspired) Brownies What you will need to make this recipe. 1. CHEAT- See the post above to learn more, one box of sugar free brownie mix. OR 2-6 below; 2. Flour (AP)- 3/4 cup (omit if using brownie mix). 3. Baking Soda- 1/2 tsp (omit if using brownie mix). 4. Salt- 1/4 tsp (omit if using brownie mix). 5. Sugar Alternative- Equivalent to 1/4 cup of sugar, granular works best here. (omit if using brownie mix). 6. Powdered Unsweetened Cocoa- 2 tablespoons (omit if using brownie mix). 7. Jack Daniels- 1 cup. 8. Oil, such as vegetable oil- 2 tablespoons. 9. Eggs- 2 large. 10.Sugar Free Chocolate Chips- 1 cup. How To Make Jack Daniels (Inspired) Brownies Prep a square baking dish or similar for nonstick. I like parchment paper. Preheat your oven for 350. If using the cheat- a boxed brownie mix, prepare as directed on the box only, sub in the Jack Daniels for the water and make the eggs added your 2 eggs from this recipe. (I am trying to say only add 2 eggs total.) If making this recipe from scratch, in a mixing bowl, sift together your flour, baking soda, and salt. Set this aside. In another bowl, whisk together the sugar alternative and the unsweetened cocoa. Add this to the first mixing bowl and give it a gentle stir. Now, stir in the Jack Daniels oil, and then the eggs, one egg at a time. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips. Bake for 25-30 minutes in a prepped square pan at 350. I like my brownies chewy. These brownies will be chewy as they have the chips added. If you are seeking a dryer brownie, omit the chocolate chips from your recipe. Also, the toothpick test may give a false negative as the chocolate chips will give the impression that baking is not finished.
