Disney-owned ABC will promote Toy Story Land through the day Wednesday.
Toy Story Land doesn’t open until June 30 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But ABC will use the previews during the May ratings period to bolster ratings, and Walt Disney World Resort is getting prime placement on four shows.
“Good Morning America” starts the promotional efforts at 7 a.m. Tim Allen, who gave voice to Buzz Lightyear in the “Toy Story” films, will be part of the morning program. Paula Faris will host a look at the 11-acre attraction, which gives guests the sense of being shrunk to toy size.
“GMA” also interviews Walt Disney Imagineers and previews Slinky Dog Dash coaster, Alien Swirling Saucers and the 4D carnival midway games on Toy Story Mania!
On “The View,” hosts Sunny Hostin and Sarah Haines tour Toy Story Land. The program starts at 11 a.m.
“The Chew” looks at treats from Woody’s Lunchbox, the eatery at Toy Story Land. “The Chew” starts at 1 p.m.
After Jimmy Kimmel, “Nightline” explores how “Toy Story” and other Disney•Pixar films gain new life in the Disney theme parks. “Toy Story” star Allen will be back for that show.
